Letter from Apt

  Hello there, I hope all is well, it has been a while, I am trying hard to make this blog going, I am a beginner, and without help, in isolation, it is not obvious, but I will get there. Today, a picture is worth a thousand words. Apt is in Provence, the houses are not built for the cold, no insulation, no heavy-duty heating system or double pane window etc. In my studio, only a fire in the stove will keep me warm. When I come to my studio in the morning, I must start a fire at once, I sit by the stove, and wait until the flames are strong enough and the warmth is spreading, it takes time, no immediate result.   Well Hello there, I hope this missive finds you well. We live in a strange world now with this silly COVID-19 -19. Is your area safe? Not many places are safe, the virus even reached the great north, which is not good news. But if you want good news, better not watch the news, all unwelcome news. Except, perhaps, that President Trump is out, President elect Biden is in. Politics, well they shape our world, and we are completely powerless in the face of it except go to vote, which I do not do since I live in a foreign country as a legal resident with no right to vote.
